On October 16th, 2017, Medina Hajdarevic, Second Secretary of the Australia Embassy Economic Section, and Li Lianqing, Official of Advanced Research and Project, paid a visit to CRCFDI. Professor Lu Jinyong, Director of CRCFDI, received their visit in the office, and had an informal discussion with them. The main task of this visit was to consult the reason, effect and development trend of the latest changes in China’s policy of utilizing foreign investments. During the discussion, Professor Lu Jinyong answered the following questions they came up with: the characteristic of China’s foreign investments development in recent years, the reason why the State Council announced “NO.5 document “ and “NO.39 document“ in succession which encouraged the foreign investments, the function and effect of “NO.5 document“ and “NO.39 document “, the main measures and effects of China’s improving the business environment, the trends of utilizing foreign investments in the next few years, the relationship of free trade zone constructionand foreign investments attraction, the relationship between the rapid growing of China’s outward investments and foreign investments attraction, the current situation and development trend of two-way investments between China and Australia.
