Prior to the meeting, Lin Guijun, vice principal of our university had met Dr Martin Rama and Dr Li yue and introduced the international trade studies conducted by our university. Both parties in particular discussed the migration of labors from the costal areas of China to the hinterland.  Both sides expressed their willingness with respect to the enhanced cooperation of development studies and international trade research in the future

In the following speech, both professional experts made a deep analysis on the theme of World Development Report (2013), namely, the job and the employment. The World Development Report (2013) regards employment as the driving force of development rather than a simple issue of labor demanding. This report relates to multiple fields and accounts for critical issues of employment in different countries with different development models. During the lecture, they fully explained questions raised by students from our university with respect to the World Development Report (2013).
