Guest speakers of the forum included Jens Eskelund, Senior Director at Maersk China Ltd, Gerry A. Prof Lin Guijun also joined the sub forum of Global Trade Diversion as a guest speaker, discussing the theme of regional integration, in particular, advances and influence of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership; Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP); and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Prof Lin emphasized the importance of China’s role in Asia’s manufacturing and global supply chain. He thought the regional economic integration and global supply chain can be developed side by side. The absence of China can disturb Asia’s present production network, which will have an obvious negative impact on the world’s economy. Guest speaker of the sub-forum included Adam S. Posen, president of the Washington-based Peterson Institute for International Economics, Larry Stone, President of Group Public & Government Affairs in BT Group, Satoshi Miyamoto, President of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Razeen Sally, Associate Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and Francisco Nicolás González Díaz, Director General of ProMéxico.
