A comparative overview about the internationalization project of our school
To enhance our interaction with other advanced international universities, improve our international competitiveness and realize the goal of playing a leading role in economics-related field, our University took the opportunity of third session of 211 projects to forge a team in the name of Economics and Econometrics Group. The School of International trade and economics has joined the Benchmarking Club with other universities, including University of Adelaide, University of Melbourne, University of Western Australia, University of Florida, University of Pittsburgh, Purdue University, Rice University, South Methodist University, University of Syracuse, University of California Santa Barbara and Singapore Management University. Over 20 teachers joined the academic group.
In recent 3 years, the School of International trade and economics has been consistently seeking for progress based on comparison with other members in the Benchmarking Club. After 3 years of endeavors, we have made a significant progress in forging a world class discipline, strengthened our capability of academic research and international competitiveness which laid a solid groundwork for further improvement at a next phrase.
In comparison with other universities of the Benchmarking Club, the number of academic papers published by our school has surpassed the school of economics in University of Adelaide, University of Western Australia, University of Florida, Purdue University and Rice University, ranking the 5th place together with University of Syracuse, which is only behind the University of Melbourne, University of Pittsburgh, University of California Santa Barbara and Singapore Management University.
