讲座题目：Open Banking and the Expansion of Online Commerce: Evidence from Cross-Border E-Commerce

讲座摘要：This paper examines the impact of Open Banking （OB） adoption on the expansion of cross-border e-commerce （CBEC）. Leveraging a unique dataset of 258 million parcel-level export records from a major Chinese logistics provider and the staggered rollout of OB policies, we find that OB adoption increases the country's CBEC import value by 41%, with no corresponding response in traditional trade. This effect coincides with the entry of payment solution providers and is stronger in countries with more developed banking and digital infrastructures before the policy. Moreover, OB-driven CBEC growth does not depend on the pre-existence of traditional trade and extends geographically to less developed communities within destination countries, highlighting its implications for consumer welfare.

任远，浙江大学经济学院金融系助理教授。2021年于新加坡国立大学获得金融学博士学位，主要研究方向为家庭金融、金融科技、行为金融和应用微观计量。其论文发表在Management Science、Journal of Development Economics、Review of Finance、《经济研究》、《经济学（季刊）》等国内外顶级经济金融杂志，主持国家级和省部级自然科学基金各一项。
