国际经济贸易学院李建培教授与Yongmin Chen教授（University of Colorado Boulder）和Marius Schwarz教授（Georgetown University）的合作论文Competitive Differential Pricing被国际一流经济学期刊RAND Journal of Economics正式发表（Vol. 52, No. 1,Spring 2021, pp. 100–124）。
Abstract:We analyze welfare under differential versus uniform pricing across oligopoly markets that differ in costs of service, and establish general demand conditions for differential pricing by symmetric firms to increase consumer surplus, profit, and total welfare. The analysis reveals why competitive differential pricing is generally beneficial—more than price discrimination—but not always, including why profit may fall, unlike for monopoly. The presence of more competitors tends to enlarge consumers’ share of the gain from differential pricing, though profits often still rise. When firms have asymmetric costs, however, profit or consumer surplus can fall even with ‘simple’ linear demands.
本文分析了向不同市场供应商品的成本不同时寡头厂商进行差别定价和统一定价的福利影响，并确立了对称厂商进行差别定价能够提高消费者剩余、厂商利润和社会总福利的一般化的需求条件。本文的研究揭示了为什么基于成本差异的竞争性差别定价通常能够提高社会福利，与基于需求弹性差异的三级价格歧视相比更为有益，但并不总是能够提高社会福利。同时，解释了为什么厂商利润可能会降低（与垄断情形不同）。厂商之间竞争程度的加剧使得差别定价带来的收益的更大一部分被消费者获取。但是，当厂商供应商品的成本不对称时，即便是简单的线性需求，厂商利润或消费者剩余都有可能降低。

李建培教授毕业于德国柏林洪堡大学。主要从事应用微观理论研究，包括产业组织理论和契约理论，研究题目包括团队生产中的锦标赛机制、最优采购契约设计、专家市场侵权责任等。多篇论文发表于经济学国际顶尖期刊，包括RANDJournal of Economics （2篇）,Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of PublicEconomics （2篇），International Journalof Industrial Organization等。先后主持国家自然科学基金青年项目及霍英东教育基金会基础性研究项目，曾入选教育部新世纪优秀人才计划，并荣获2018年中国信息经济学乌家培奖。
