讲座题目：Non-traded goods, firm dynamics and wages in a service economy
讲座摘要：This paper extends Jones’ competitive analysis to an imperfectly competitive economy with firm dynamics. Owing to the additional effect by firm entry or exit, the wage distribution of an external shock, such as a rise in inbound tourism related foreign demand, can be further magnified or mitigated. Despite the undesirable outcomes of rising negative externality and widening wage inequality, more foreign demand by inbound tourism can be conducive to the economy by generating revenue and mitigating market distortion. How to achieve the trade-off among growth, inequality and the environment becomes an important task for government decision-makers, especially so during the pandemic of Covid-19.
主讲人简介：俞肇熊，现任河南大学特聘讲座教授。俞肇熊教授1991-2012年出任香港中文大学企业经济与决策科学系讲座教授并兼系主任、2001-2012年出任香港城市大学讲座教授兼商学院副院长。在香港珠海学院任职期间，俞肇熊教授曾先后出任商学院院长及副校长等职。俞肇熊教授的研究领域为国际贸易与金融、环境与能源经济学，同时也是Pacific Economic Review创刊主编、Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting and Economics主编、香港国际经济学与金融协会的创立者。
