讲座题目：The Wealth of Working Nations

讲座摘要：GDP growth per capita and GDP growth per working-age adult have become quite

different in advanced economies. Countries with lackluster GDP growth per capita, such as Japan, have performed well in working-age adult terms. Furthermore, many advanced economies are on parallel growth trajectories in working-age adult terms despite differences in levels. We calibrate a standard growth model in which the growth of the working-age adult population varies in line with the data. The calibrated model tracks output per working-age adult in most cases. We conclude that the growth of mature, aging economies is not puzzling from a theoretical perspective.

主讲人简介：

姚雯，博士毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学，现任清华大学经管学院经济系长聘副教授、博士生导师、中国金融四十人（CF40）青年论坛学者、国家级青年人才计划获得者。姚雯的研究领域包括宏观经济、国际经济以及中国经济，主要围绕经济的增长与波动这一核心问题，针对中国的经济周期波动、中国的劳动收入不平等、国家间的经济周期传导等重大现实问题展开研究。她的相关研究发表在International Economic Review、Journal of Development Economics、Journal of International Economics、Review of Economic Dynamics、Journal of International Money and Finance等国际顶尖经济学期刊上。她的研究工作得到各类科研资助，独立主持多个科研项目，包括国家自然科学基金青年项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目以及清华大学自主科研项目。姚雯主要讲授博士研究生课程《宏观经济学的数量方法》、《中国经济专题研究》，MBA课程《中国ESG前沿模式探究》，本科生课程《经济学原理》、《中级宏观经济学》以及《中国经济专题》。其中《经济学原理》获国家级精品课程、北京市精品课程及清华大学文化素质核心课程。
