讲座题目:Price Menu Design under Ambiguity 时间:2024年11月19日(周二)10:00-11:30 地点:博学楼506 报告人:宋天乐(中南财经政法大学 文澜学院 副教授) 摘要:A monopoly seller who faces ambiguity about a buyer’s consumption plans aims to design a price menu that maximizes her guaranteed (worst-case) profit. We show that an optimal total-price menu can be linear in quantity under general conditions, and this qualitative result extends to multiple buyers and/or sellers. Thus the model may provide a rationale for why simple pricing strategies, such as single unit prices, are often preferred by sellers despite rich buyer information. We also extend the model to analyze how supply-chain firms respond to price-cap regulation in the presence of ambiguity. 报告人简介: 宋天乐,香港科技大学经济学博士,现为中南财经政法大学文澜学院副教授。研究领域包括:微观经济学、信息经济学、产业经济学、行为经济学和博弈论。目前已有论文发表于Journal of Industrial Economics、Experimental Economics等国际期刊。
