国际经济和金融学会（中国）（IEFS China）第十五届年会将于2025年8月14日至15日在中国北京隆重举行。本届年会由对外经济贸易大学（UIBE）承办，旨在纪念国际贸易领域的杰出学者、曾担任本会主题演讲嘉宾并长期支持IEFS（中国）发展的Jonathan Eaton教授。

We are pleased to announce that the 15th Annual Conference of the International Economics and Finance Society （China） will be held in Beijing, China, on August 14–15, 2025. This year’s conference will be hosted by the University of International Business and Economics （UIBE） in honor of Professor Jonathan Eaton—an international trade pioneer, a former keynote speaker, and a long-time supporter of IEFS （China）.

We warmly invite paper submissions and look forward to your participation in this academic event.

The conference will feature four distinguished keynote speakers, with additional speakers to be announced soon.

Professor Samuel Kortum of Yale University

国际经济学领军学者，美国文理科学院院士，经济计量学会会士，耶鲁大学经济系主任，Eaton-Kortum经济模型奠基人，弗里施奖章得主。研究领域是国际经济学、产业组织、宏观经济学，聚焦创新、技术扩散、国际贸易与气候政策的交叉研究。他与Jonathan Eaton合著的Eaton-Kortum模型已成为国际贸易理论和实证工作的基本框架，并因EK模型于2004年获得弗里施奖章（Frisch Medal）。其研究兼具理论深度与政策价值，成果被广泛引用于国际机构政策制定。

A leading scholar in international economics, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the Econometric Society, James Burrows Moffatt Professor of Economics and the chair of the Economics Department at Yale University, the co-founder of the Eaton-Kortum economic model, and the recipient of the Frisch Medal. Professor Kortum’s research fields are international economics, industrial organization, and macroeconomics, focusing on the intersection of innovation, technology diffusion, international trade, and climate policy. The Eaton-Kortum model co-authored by Professor Kortum and Professor Jonathan Eaton  has become the basic framework for international trade theory and empirical work. Professor Kortum won the Frisch Medal in 2004 for the EK model. His research combines theoretical depth and policy value, and his research findings are widely cited in the policy-making of international institutions.

Professor Lorenzo Caliendo of Yale University

乌拉圭裔美国经济学家，耶鲁大学管理学院全球事务与管理Won Park Hahn讲席教授、杰克逊全球事务学院副院长，并兼任经济学系教职，Caliendo-Parro模型联合创始人，其研究聚焦国际贸易定量模型、空间经济学及区域一体化政策，开创的Caliendo-Parro模型成为贸易政策福利效应分析的基准框架，是新一代量化贸易研究的领军学者。

The Won Park Hahn Professor of Global Affairs and Management at the Yale School of Management, Associate Dean of the Jackson School of Global Affairs, and also holds a faculty position in the Department of Economics. A Uruguayan-American economist and co-founder of the Caliendo-Parro model. His research focuses on quantitative models of international trade, spatial economics, and regional integration policies. The Caliendo-Parro model developed by Professor Caliendo has become a benchmark framework for analyzing the welfare effects of trade policies. Professor Caliendo is a leading scholar in the new generation of quantitative trade research.

Professor Costas Arkolakis of Yale University

希腊裔经济学家，耶鲁大学经济学教授 ，耶鲁空间解决方案中心联合主任，《国际经济学杂志》主编。他主要研究一般均衡贸易理论、空间经济学、宏观经济学和产业组织。其与Arnaud Costinot、Andrés Rodríguez-Clare共同提出的ACR贸易福利公式（2012）革新了全球化收益的量化范式，成为WTO、IMF及100多个国家贸易协定评估的黄金标准。

Greek economist, Professor of Economics at Yale University, and Co-Director of the Yale Center for Geospatial Solutions, Guest's detailed information: Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Economics. Professor Arkolakis’s main research areas include general equilibrium trade theory, spatial economics, macroeconomics, and industrial organization. The ACR trade welfare formula （2012） jointly proposed by him, Arnaud Costinot, and Andrés Rodríguez-Clare has revolutionized the quantification paradigm of the benefits of globalization and has become the gold standard for the assessment of trade agreements by the WTO, IMF, and over 100 countries.

Professor Eddy Bekkers of WTO

世界贸易组织 （WTO）的研究经济学家,构建首个系统性量化框架，破解非关税措施（NTMs）对全球价值链的隐性壁垒，研究成果被欧盟委员会纳入《贸易壁垒评估白皮书》。开发动态一般均衡模型（DGE），实现技术性贸易壁垒（TBT）、卫生与植物检疫措施（SPS）的福利效应精准测算，成为WTO成员国谈判核心依据。首创"数字监管强度指数"，定量揭示数据本地化政策对服务贸易的抑制效应，推动OECD-EU数字贸易协定条款优化。

Research Economist at the World Trade Organization （WTO）. Construct the first systematic quantitative framework to break through the hidden barriers of non - tariff measures （NTMs） to the global value chain. The research results were incorporated into the "White Paper on Trade Barrier Assessment" by the European Commission. He develops a dynamic general equilibrium model （DGE） to accurately measure the welfare effects of technical barriers to trade （TBT） and sanitary and phytosanitary measures （SPS）, which has become the core basis for negotiations among WTO member states. Pioneered the "Digital Regulatory Intensity Index" to quantitatively reveal the inhibitory effect of data localization policies on service trade and promote the optimization of the terms of the OECD - EU Digital Trade Agreement.

We are arranging support from several academic journals for this conference. While submission is not mandatory, all speakers are encouraged to submit their conference papers for possible publication, subject to the standard peer-review process.

Selected papers presented at the conference may, upon further review, be considered for inclusion in special issues or dedicated sections of journals such as The World Economy or Economic Modelling.

3. Upon acceptance of your papers, you must confirm their attendance by completing the registration by August 9, 2025.

5. All papers will be presented in English.

IEFS（中国）成立于2008年，我们每年都会组织国际贸易和金融领域各种主题的国际会议。由对外经济贸易大学（2009年、2010年、2011年、2014年至2025年）、南开大学（2012年）和上海对外经贸大学（2013年）主办的往届会议吸引了来自世界各地的知名和新锐学者。多年来，IEFS（中国）已发展成为国际经济学，特别是国际贸易领域最好的学术团体和顶级学会之一。

The IEFS China was established in 2008 and since then we have organized annual international conferences on various topics in the field of international trade and finance. And the past conferences, hosted by University of International Business and Economics in Beijing （2009, 2010, 2011, 2014-2025） , by Nankai University in Tianjin （2012）, and by Shanghai University of International Business and Economics （2013） have been well attended with established and rising scholars in the field from all over the world. Over years, IEFS China has been grown up as the best academic group and one of top societies in international economics, especially international trade.
