Shi Jianjun, Principal of UIBE met with Prof Peter Buckley from University of Leeds
On April 2 am, Shi Jianjun, Principal of UIBE met with Prof Peter Buckley，a Chang Jiang scholar of our university，from University of Leeds in the distinguished guest reception room of administrative building. Prof. Peter Buckley teaches international business at the University of Leeds, the originator of Internalization theory as well as the Dean of Confucius Institute for Business, which was jointly established by Leeds University and our university.
President Shi made a retrospect on the last meeting with Prof Buckley, which was during the opening ceremony of Confucius Institute for Business of Leeds University. As the Chang Jiang scholar of our university, Prof Beckley bridged the cooperation between Leeds University and our university. President Shi hoped that the exchange and cooperation between Leeds University and UIBE driven by Prof Buckley can be further deepened in the future and more achievements will be made. In addition, President Shi expressed his wishes towards the future progress of Confucius Institute for Business. He hoped that on one hand, the Institute can attract more British students to study Chinese language and culture; on the other hand, it can help British people from business community to better understand the environment of China’s economy and business so as to promote the business exchanges between British and China.
