Welcome to Discovering China Program! School of International Trade and Economic has provided the Program for years. The Program is designed for International undergraduate and graduate students who wish to discover China throughout Chinese Business & Economic studies, Field Trips and Culture Activities. We also welcome second-generation Chinese living abroad and foreign residents of China. We assure you uniquely exciting and rewarding times here with us.
1.1 Lectures
Each session has three areas; five Lectures on Chinese Business and Economics studies, Field Trips, and Culture Activities. Each session may offer different lectures. A group can choose lectures if informed before April 30 without outstanding balance.

1.4 Discovery Tour: Xian & Shanghai
It is an optional Tour for participants of Discovering China Program; one-week tour to Xian (terracotta warriors, Shanxi History Museum and etc.) and Shanghai (People Square, Shanghai Museum of Art, Huang Pu River Cruise£¬and Oriental Pearl TV Tower)
Discovery Tour: US$1000 (includes all accommodation, meals and transportation)

2. Program schedule |

2.1 Summer session*
First session: May 16-May 30
Second session: June1-June 15
Third session: June16-June 30
Fourth session: July 1-July 15
*a group (more than 20 students) can start anytime during summer term
2.2 Fall & spring sessions
Only Group session will be offered by appointment during fall and spring terms.

3. Application Procedure |
|
|
|
|
3.1 Early applicants
Applicants who completed application and deposit are received by April 30 will be waived the Application fee.
3.2 Requirements
All applicants must pay US$100 deposit and US$50 application fee (except early applicants) upon selection to the program. The remaining balance of the tuition must be paid in full, in order to ensure your enrollment in the program. Tuition fee is US$600 for each session, this includes instruction (5 lectures), course materials, Introductory Chinese Mandarin, Field Trips, culture activities, welcome and Farewell dinners. However, this does not include accommodations, and meals for the residential session.

5. Withdrawal and visa |
|
|
|
|
Participates who withdraw from the program after acceptance, but before the session will forfeit their deposit. Those who withdraw after the session will forfeit their full fees.
Visa
Less than one month stay in China, you can simply apply a visiting visa (L). A valid short-term visa (F) is required if more than one month. Upon acceptance at the Discovery China Program (if applied more than two sessions) and/or Intensive credit courses in Summer, students will be issued a Letter (JW202) for a short-term visa (F). However, the applications need the International Student application form and CN£¤660 application fee for a short-term visa (F).
