1, Why should I choose SITE, UIBE?
One reason of course, is employment. The University, especially SITE (School of International Trade and Economics) provides various internships and placements; especially the intensive summer internships give lots of job opportunities to SITE graduators.

2, what are the special features?
The program is accredited by the State Ministry of Education. The Program also provides a good opportunity for international students to study Chinese language for FREE. The extensive resources of the School of International Trade and Economics enable to offer courses in 3 different areas of concentration including: International Trade, Corporate Finance and Industrial Organization. Special courses about the Chinese economy are offered to meet the needs and interests of international students. These courses are taught by a large faculty of over 40 members, who specialize in different fields. All courses are taught in English. |

4, What kinds of documents I have to submit?

5, When is the deadline?
Application deadline is June 30.
However, the faculty may consider Master degree applicants to commence in the spring or summer session. Fall semester: May 15, Spring semester: October 15, Summer session-February 15. |

6, What to do after admitted?
If applicants receive an Offer of Admission and wish to accept, applicants need to send a CN£¤5000 non-refundable deposit. A CN£¤5000 non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance of the offer of admission to the International Undergraduate and Graduate Programs. This deposit will be applied to your first term program fee. |

7, Are scholarships available?
Chinese Government Scholarships
The Ministry of Education of China provides scholarships for international students.? And International Graduate program at the School of International Trade and Economics is one of programs for which the Chinese Government Scholarship is available. The Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of Ministry of Education of China takes charge of the office approval of the scholarships. Please consult the website at www.csc.edu.cn for further information.
BEIJING Scholarships
It is a new scholarship for international students who like to study in Beijing.

SITE Scholarships
The SITE scholarship is awarded biannually to two outstanding students enrolled in the International Graduate Program at SITE who have shown excellence in the study of Applied Economics and in the study of International Business. 8, If the applicant's TOEFL or IELTS score is lower than 550 or 5.5, but very close, say 540, does this applicant need to take a test again?
Under this circumstance, an oral English test will be required. A telephone interview will be arranged if the applicant is not in Beijing. |

11, Do the Programmes provide internship or field trip for students?
Yes. SITE provides internships and ?field trips in joint ventures, enterprises or rural areas as a course requirement. Especially Graduate program offers the INTENSIVE Internships in summer session about 3 months. 30% of full-time students are taking advantage of the internship programs and 70% of internship students got a job offer from the internship companies. |

12, Can I work while studying at UIBE?
According to the government regulations, international students cannot work during their studies. However, part-time work or internships are sometimes allowed. Jobs of teaching English are particularly easy for native English speakers to find. |

13, Do I have to live on campus?
Off-campus housing is available but you must make sure that any apartment you rent is a legal residence for foreigners. |

14, Can I receive university credits from this Program?
UIBE offers credits for all courses of this program. After you have completed all the coursework as required, we will assist you in obtaining any information or documentation required by your home university. Of course the final decision to offer academic credits is up to your home university, so we recommend that you discuss your study plan with your university before your studies at UIBE. |

15, What do I need to bring with me to Beijing?
If you are staying in the student dormitory, bedding, telephone and television are all provided. A computer room is located on the first floor of the dormitory for students. Smaller items, furniture, clothing and cleaning supplies can all be bought quite cheaply on and out of campus. We suggest you bring some medication from home in sufficient quantities for cases of emergency. The electricity voltage in Beijing is 220, so you may need to bring an adapter to use with any electrical appliances brought from home. |

16, Is access to the Internet available at UIBE?
The on-campus dorm provides in each room a telephone and access to the UIBE Internet network. You can also find a local ISP and use a modem to connect to the Internet. In addition, UIBE has several computer rooms in which you can go on-line. |

17, What is a conditional offer?
A conditional offer means that there are conditions an applicant must satisfy in order to receive final admission (i.e. maintain your offer) If applicants have received a conditional offer, this will be noted in the details on the form entitled ¡°Offer of Admission¡± |

18, How much is Tuition Fee?
University reserves a right to change tuition fees, late registration fees and refund polices without notice. Tuition fees are usually reviewed in the spring of each year. For the incoming degree students from spring 2007, fees are charged on a credit basis.

20, I am an IGPAE Student but I am very interested in courses in the International Business, can I take IGPIB courses as a credit?
Of course you can, IGPIB courses are not restricted to IGPAE Students. However Degree students in IPGAE are permitted to take up to 6 credits, i.e., three sessions, at the 500 level, from international Business courses offered in a related discipline, with permissions from the Program Coordinator. |

21, What is the date that everyone must be registered by?
